The experience

Rather than simply participating in ceremonies, you are invited to understand the origins, preparation and cultural significance of the medicines that have been part of Amazonian traditions for centuries.

During the retreat, participants have the opportunity to observe the traditional preparation of Yagé (Ayahuasca), following the process from the selection of the plants to the slow cooking of the brew. This experience offers a deeper appreciation of the patience, dedication and respect involved in creating one of the Amazon's most sacred medicines.
Tradition
Learning extends far beyond the ceremonial space. Throughout the journey, visits to local communities and traditional markets provide an opportunity to discover the living culture that surrounds Amazonian plant medicine. Here, knowledge is shared through generations, where every remedy, every handcrafted object and every plant carries its own story and purpose.

Participants will discover a wide variety of medicinal plants, natural preparations and traditional remedies used within Amazonian healing practices. Alongside these, local artisans present handmade ceremonial objects, instruments and crafts created using ancestral techniques that continue to preserve the region's cultural heritage.
Excursions into the surrounding rainforest also become an essential part of the experience. Walking through the Amazon alongside local guides offers the opportunity to encounter many of the plants discussed during the training in their natural environment, while gaining a deeper understanding of the relationship between indigenous communities, the forest and the medicines that emerge from it.
The greatest lesson is discovering that the medicine is not separate from the people, the forest or the culture that has protected it for generations.
